Our Life helps you understand your medical records. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for your doctor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
We built Our Life to make your health records clearer and calmer to navigate — never to replace professional judgment. This page explains the boundaries of what the app does, so you always know when to turn to a clinician.
The content provided by Our Life — including summaries, explanations, glossary entries, trends, and answers from the "Ask" feature — is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and must not be relied upon as a basis for diagnosis or treatment. Using the Service does not create a doctor–patient relationship.
Our Life is a personal record-keeping and information tool. It is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not a regulated medical device. It should not be used as the basis for clinical decisions.
Features that explain results or analyze trends are designed to help you understand the records you already have, in plain language. They are generated automatically, can be incomplete or wrong, and do not account for your full clinical picture. Treat them as a starting point for a conversation with your clinician — never as a conclusion. Our Life intentionally does not rate the severity of results or tell you whether something is "good" or "bad."
Where the app shows a reference range or marks a value as outside a range, that information generally comes from your source records or standard references. Ranges vary between laboratories and depend on your individual circumstances. A value outside a range does not necessarily mean something is wrong, and a value inside a range does not guarantee health. Your clinician interprets what these mean for you.
Our Life displays information imported from Apple Health, your providers, and documents you add. We do not independently verify this data, and imports or scans may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. You are responsible for confirming important information with your provider and the original source.
Do not use Our Life for medical emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number (such as 911 in the United States) immediately. Do not delay seeking professional advice because of something you read in the app.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of information you accessed through Our Life. Always seek the guidance of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions about a medical condition, your medications, or before making changes to your care.
